You may already know a lot about food, exercise, and their connection with weight loss, but some things can help you achieve your goal even faster than before. Plus, it's good for your health too! Enough with junk food already. Cut it out and learn to love sweet potatoes, kale, and chia seeds. Yeah, sourdough bread...

What is the most effective way of losing weight?

 1. Dieting

Dieting is the best way to lose weight. You need to eat less than what you burn off. You will lose weight if you eat less than what you use. However, if you eat more than what you use, you will gain weight. When dieting, you should consume fewer calories than you expend.

 2. Exercise

Exercise is not only good for your body, but it helps you lose weight. Exercising burns calories and increases metabolic rate. Metabolic rate refers to how many calories you burn per day. Your basal metabolic rate (BMR) is the number of calories you burn at rest. Your total daily caloric expenditure equals BMR plus exercise-induced thermogenesis (EIT). EIT is the increase in metabolic rate due to physical activity. To calculate your BMR, multiply your current weight by 13. Then subtract your age from that number. Next, divide that number by 1.75. Finally, add 500 to that number. That's your BMR.

3. Weight Watchers

Weight Watchers is a program where people follow a set of rules to keep their weight under control. People who participate in Weight Watchers have lost an average of 10 pounds over six months. The program works by limiting portion sizes, counting points, and keeping track of food intake. Points are given for different foods based on nutritional value. Foods high in fat and sugar get higher point values while fruits and vegetables get lower.

 4. Slimfast

Slimfast is a liquid meal replacement product that contains no artificial ingredients. It is designed to provide nutrition without adding extra calories. The product comes in several flavors including chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, and lemonade. Each bottle provides about 20 grams of protein, 40 percent of the recommended daily allowance of fiber, and 50 percent of the recommended daily amount of iron.

 5. Atkins Diet

The Atkins Diet was created by Dr. Robert C. Atkins in 1972. He claimed that the human body could adapt to any type of dietary regimen. His diet plan focuses on consuming low-carbohydrate foods and avoiding foods containing saturated fats. The goal of the diet is to reduce cholesterol levels and maintain stable blood pressure.

 6. Juice Fast

Juice fasting is a popular method of losing weight. A juice fast involves drinking freshly pressed juices. Juicing is the act of extracting juice from fresh produce. There are two types of juicing methods: cold pressing and hot pressing. Cold pressing uses mechanical force to extract juice from the fruit or vegetable. Hot pressing uses steam to extract juice from the produce. Both methods result in a nutritious drink that is packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and enzymes.

 7. Water Fast

Water fasting is a religious practice in some religions. In water fasting, individuals refrain from eating anything except water. This may last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. Many people choose to do water fasting to cleanse their bodies of toxins or to focus on spiritual growth.
